In my paintings, I am interested in capturing a sense of geography or landscape that evokes the dynamics of social and political interchange and complex systems of emotion, thought, and narrative. Much of my work is a reflection on landscape painting or map-making as a method of tracing these ephemeral moments as marks in space and time.
